Abstract

The results of a study of the structural features and associated physicochemical characteristics of films based on copolymers of n-butyl acrylate with N-vinylsuccinamic acid (sodium salt), including those containing bioactive substances (BAS), and their influence on the duration of BAS release depending on chemical structure and composition of the copolymer, film formation conditions, the nature of the introduced BAS, contact medium and release of BAS are presented.

Abstract

The physicomechanical, morphological and operational properties of polymer structural materials based on epoxy-novolac oligomers filled with glass microspheres are considered. The possibility of regulating the density of spheroplastics by varying the number and sizes of glass spheres while maintaining good physical and mechanical properties of the materials has been studied.

Abstract

Static and dynamic thermal analysis of the destruction of PVC fi lms, as well as isothermal and non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of PVC films stabilized with magnesium and zinc pentaerythritates with the addition of dibenzoylmethane as a synergistic additive were carried out.

Abstract

The effect of plasticizers on the physical and mechanical properties of film materials based on polyacrylamide has been studied. It has been established that the introduction of sorbitol, trimethylolpropane and PEG 400 into the composition reduces the tensile strength of film materials. It is shown that the use of plasticizers affects the relative elongation at break and film adhesion.

Abstract

A scientific hypothesis on the effect of chain transfer reactions on the relative activity of monomers in radical copolymerization is theoretically substantiated. It is concluded that when binary copolymerization of monomers is carried out in the presence of active chain carriers, the compositional homogeneity of the obtained copolymers will deteriorate.

Abstract

The influence of dispersing agents (talc and hydrophilic silicon dioxides) on the physical and mechanical properties of rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films filled with calcium carbonate is considered. Test results for tensile strength, elongation at break and impact strength were analyzed for film samples containing different ratios of dispersant and filler.

Abstract

Based on literature data, the influence of various plasticizing and modifying substances on the glass transition temperature of polyacrylamide was analyzed. The possibility of using plasticizing additives to improve the technological and operational characteristics of polyacrylamide and compositions based on it is considered.

Abstract

A technology has been developed for producing a photopolymerizing composition based on modified glycolysis products of recycled polyethylene terephthalate with diethylene glycol. The effect of dimethacrylic ether of triethylene glycol (TGM-3), used as an active diluent monomer, on the physical and mechanical characteristics of finished products is analyzed.

Abstract

A technique for obtaining an unsaturated polyester resin based on recycled polyethylene terephthalate has been developed. The process of curing an unsaturated polyester resin under the action of styrene, a peroxide compound (Butanox 50M) and an accelerator (cobalt ortoate) has been studied. The physical and mechanical properties of polymeric materials based on the developed resin have been studied, it was found that their strength depends on the mass fraction of recycled polyethylene terephthalate in the oligoether polyol used in the synthesis.

Abstract

A method for synthesis of oligoester polyols (OEP) and modified resins is presented, the effect of the OEP content on the dynamic viscosity, reactivity of resins, physicochemical and mechanical properties of structural materials is studied. Materials based on epoxy-diane resin modified with glycolyzed products were obtained. It was found that the use of the developed oligomers with optimal content of epoxy-diane resin as modifier leads to an increase in some characteristics of the resulting materials: elasticity, tensile strength and elastic modulus at static bending, viability of the composition. The use of glycolysis products is advisable because it is a promising method for recycling of household waste polyethylene terephthalate. It is characterized by ease of synthesis, as well as low cost and availability of initial components, and makes it possible to increase the physical and mechanical properties of structural materials based on epoxy resins, as well as contribute to solving environmental problems.

Abstract

The article provides information regarding patenting statistics in the field of compositions and methods of production of redispersible polymer powders. It is demonstrated that a patent is primarily a profit-making tool, and patent research is a mechanism for making long-term forecasts in a technological niche. The main mistakes of Russian patent holders when protecting their developments are discussed and ways to prevent them are proposed. Comparative examples of claim writing are offered, and issues of comprehensive patent protection are also discussed.

Abstract

The calculation scheme is proposed for analyzing the effect of pressure on the permeability of various gases through polymeric membranes. The calculation scheme is based on the proposed equation, in which the activation energy of the permeability process decreases under the action of pressure according to a power law. The adequacy of the calculation scheme was verified on the example of CO2 permeability through polyimide-based membranes. A good agreement was found between the calculated and experimental data on the increase in permeability with increasing pressure. The performance of the scheme was also tested using the example of three polyimides for two cases-growth and non-monotonic change in permeability. The decrease in permeability and the absence of dependence on pressure are analyzed.
