Influence of technical carbon characteristics on the properties of polyethylene compound concentrates and pipes on its basis

Abstract

The article presents the results of research work carried out by the specialists of the enterprises: "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", "POLYPLASTIC Group", Omsk carbon Group & "Kama plant of polymeric materials". Examined the new special grades technical carbon, their physical and chemical characteristics, the results of the tests of domestic concentrates of technical carbon and polyethylene pipe manufactured using serial and experimental concentrates of technical carbon in comparison with the import-analoques. The dynamics of moisture absorption of the polyethylene, filled with different types of concentrata carbon black were investigated. It is shown that the new carbon black grades P-type of production of the Omsk carbon Group of the similar complex of properties of the imported carbon. High-density polyethylene containing in its composition a brand OMCARB P72, is characterized by improved distribution of carbon, a reduced capacity for moisture absorption and high physical-mechanical properties.
